Anyone have any suggestions and pointers on adjusting a C4 Clutch, My 1993 pedal travel is nearing the top half of the pedal travel.

Re: C4 Clutch adjustment
You have a hydraulic set-up, which is self adjusting. If the travel is not where it shoild be, you may have a master/slave problem, or possibly a clutch wear issue. There are no adjustments for the clutch, that I am aware of. :>(Joel Adams

Re: C4 Clutch adjustment
Dino and Joel-----
Yes, that's correct. There is no adjustment on the clutch operating system for C4 Corvettes as the system is hydraulic.
As Joel mentioned, the problem has to be one of friction plate wear or a master cylinder or slave cylinder defect.
The very first thing to do is to check the fluid level in the master cylinder. If it's low, this means that there has to be a leak in either the master cylinder, slave cylinder, or the line connecting the two----there's nowhere else for the fluid to "go". If you find that this is the problem, most likely it will be the slave cylinder. This is the culprit the majority of the time.
If it turns out that the hydraulic operating system is determined to be ok, then you want to immediately deal with the possibility of friction disc wear. On an 89-96, you DO NOT want the friction disc to wear to the rivets and damage the flywheel. These year model C4's with 6 speed transmission use a dual mass flywheel. A dual mass flywheel cannot be surfaced if worn---it must be replaced. It carries a current GM list price of $1,094.34.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
