is the 57 fan switch that is in the dash to the right of the steering column
unique to early corvettes or is it poss. that it could be found on another pass. type chevy, I need to get one, or does anyone know where that switch could be repaired the switch I'm referring to also has the knob that pulls in and out thanks in advance

    Paul -

Try Mary Jo Rohner (www.vettegal.com) - her husband used to rebuild them.

It appears the same switch was used 53-57, at leasp per the '60 parts book, P/N 3141442, Group *.852. What is wrong with yours?

Bill, I was hoping the switch may have been used in some older other type vicicle truck ect. cause as you know mention word (corvette) and price goes way up ,my switch works fine as far as low, high and off but the knob that pulls in/ out for defrost has come loose on the back side of switch so I can't make the cable work thanks

          Paul------

The switch you seek is a Corvette-only item; it was not used on any other applications that I can find. It definitely was not used on any other Chevrolet applications.

It may be possible to replace just the wire in the cable sheath perform a new attachment to your cable and get you back in business. I believe such services are advertised in the "services" section of "Hemmings" or possiby in the "Driveline"
