On my 58 I have rebuilt the brakes and braking system, however on hot days I can feel my brake petal rise up higher and higher as the temp.climbes. The right rear brake will start to drag, sometimes to the point where I have to stop and let it cool off. The only thing I can think of Is that the system collects moisture sitting and then expands. Why only that partictular brake? and would silicone fluid help?

Re: 58 brakes heating up
There is a port in the master cylinder called a compensating port. It allows brake fluid to enter the reservoir when the fluid expands due to heat. One reason could be as simple as the brake pedal is not coming back far enough to uncover the port. Try to pull the pedal back with your hand the next time it happens, if the brakes release, then you have do determine why the pedal is not coming up enough. The other reason is the master itself. I hope this helps. Joe- Top
