Can anyone tell me how the jack instructions for a 64 conv were attached to the back of the compartment lid behind the seat? Was the sticker glued or did it self stick like the repo?

Ken's right, definitely glued. There is about a half to one inch amount of glue residue around the sticker. Looks very similar to what you would get if you put some varnish on the board before you installed the self-glued 'sticker'. David- Top

Ralph --- Proof is in the AIM (Assembly Instruction Manual) Section UPC 14, Jack Stowage: I'm quoting from the '65 AIM, but they show 1/5 ounce of cement, part # 3686625 (changed to 9985105 on July 20/64) was used to glue the instruction sheet to the fiberboard cover.- Top

Re: Jack instructions 1964
Dear Ralph...this question got me too, when I purchased an aftermarket label it was thick and adhesive backed, not like the original I had. I took it to a copy shop and had a paper red copy made, it looked perfect. My original not only was glued on with cement, someone at the factory painted over the label with brush strokes...the label was yellowed.Dino Lanno- Top
