Early 71 LS5 4 speed with power brakes. I'm curious about the routing for the vacuum lines for both the power brake booster and the vacuum reserve tank. Currently the power brakes and vacuum reserve tank are both fed from a port on the intake manifold. The outlets of the port are 180 degrees apart. One of the ports is a threaded fitting for the booster and the other is a plug on for the tank.
My question is, I see in the AIM for a 1971 that the power brakes are supposed to go to the base of the carb and just the tank comes off of the manifold. The car as I received it is fairly unmolested leading me to think that what is on the car is correct and the AIM is for later 1971's. Is it possible that what I have is left over from 1970 since my car was built in early Sept of 70? I don't have a 1970 AIM to check it against.
Thanks,
Tom
PS if anyone has pictures of this setup I would like to see them.
