Dual window distributor caps

I'm looking for a dependable source of new dual window distributor caps. Has anyone used such a source recently? I'm just talking about functional new black caps with two windows. I don't care what lettering is cast into the top.

I used to buy new, black, dual window Accel caps through Jeg's for about $37. These came with a new rotor, and they were also offered in tan. However, Jeg's has been unable to get any out of Accel for the last few months.

I've also bought a few of those "NOS" (actually modern reproduction) caps that were made in Canada. These had a slightly oval shaped base because they were removed from the old broken Delco mold too quickly. These are now marketed as "new OLD stock" Delco caps on eBay. I can't find any reputable parts house who will sell these anymore for a realistic price. I think they're worth about as much as the Accel caps.

I've bought a few NOS off-brand aftermarket caps on eBay, but of course eBay isn't really a dependable source. You have to wait for the item to come up for auction.

Chicago Corvette lists a Delco D324 NOS, dual window distributor cap as their catalog item A2543 at $59.95. You might want to double check that price for applicability...

Jerry, I have some of the ugly brown or tan ones buried around here. Thought there would be a day when bubba would want one. Didn't mean you Jerry. Will look after Boston. The black Accels aren't too bad. Bought one at Carlisle a couple of weeks ago and was staring at it in the trailer and said wonder what it would take to have the lettering removed. I bet the boys could do it easily. Used to sell them years ago in the catalog cheep.The D324 on ebay listed as NOS are as you described. What does NOS really mean any more guys and girls. Remember the good old days when honest people in Hemmings used to lists parts as NOSR. Meant nos replacement. Now things made yesterday out of the country are listed as NOS. It's getting tougher out there isn't it. I let the customer supply his own dual window cap. Course we are off base a little on the DB. To make it techinical lets just recap so to speak and say the D324's are getting very difficult to find. I recently bought a NOS in an original box on line to find out that it had been "reboxed". whew. John

I am no expert as to whether they are selling the real mccoy or not, but I share your skepticism. I called to order a rotor and distributor weight kit from them back in March. They said it was back-ordered and would call me when it came in. I am glad I didn't wait for that call that never came. My local mechanic was able to get me an Accel dual window cap from a Chicago area parts distributor called Lee Auto Parts http://www.leeautoparts.com It took about 3-4 weeks, but they did come through with one.
