I have recently purchased a 1970 LT1 convertible. I know that there were only 1287 LT1's made that year. Does anyone know how many of those were convertibles?

Ian, Wish you would bring that car to Bowling Green so we could see it, judge it, and drool over it! Congradulations on owning a truely great car..... Bob

Re: Guess-timate at best.
Terry,
I've had the same opinion about those option-derivative formulations, too. They may be close and may not, who knows. And how "rare" is 10 compared to 100 when were talking about an average of around 25,000 or so cars a year. I've usually seen it abused as a "sales gimmick" more than anything. TBarr #24014- Top

Re: 1970 LT 1 Convertible BS
Many thanks to those who responded to my question. Although I didn't get a definitive answer, I realized that the information probably wasn't available. I found all of the comments interesting, especially the references to the number that might still be around.
This is my first Corvette and I feel lucky to have started with one so special. This was also my first exposure to the Discussion Board and it has given me a hint of what a terrific hobby I've gotten into.
