I agree, I have bought many things on eBay I never would have found otherwise. But, like everything, one must be cautious. I recommend looking at the seller's feedback.It is a good measure of who you might be dealing with.Also use Paypal which is kind of a safeguard.

I've had great luck on e-bay ,but I must confess I've been screwed a couple of times buying part not what they said, no big deal ! I've always sent CASH any thing under $100.00 and never got screwed in the last four years. I always demand more or better pic.so that I can see for my self if it's a real part (55) and not a repro.or again a second design part.

Ebay's been sweet for me, too. I got my '70 LS-5 long block, 290 heads, correct/dated carburetor, correct/dated starter, correct/dated water pump, a '53-'60 jack, 1100884 alternator, etc off eBay. And all were darn good deals. Corvette Forum is another source I've had good luck with.

I have been bit also. I smile and try to find a use for the item. You never know what you can do with some things. Pictures are not always worth a thousand words
