Well, after 15 long months of work, my '67 black/black coupe is on the road. I started my body-off restoration in May of 05 and just (can we ever say "finished"?) completed it last Saturday. It was the first time that I had even driven the car. Wow, what a thrill!!!
Many thanks to all the great mentors in here that have helped along the way. The discussion board is worth multiples of our annual dues.
I don't know how to post photos in here, but if you want to check out a few photos that I posted on the C2 Register (http://www.c2registry.org), I'm in the 1967 section, serial number 20649.
I bought my car from the second owner who acquired it in the '70's. It was parked in 1981 and there it remained until the Spring of 05. I bought it in May of 05. It spent its whole life in East Texas until I brought it home to Parkville, MO. The good news was: it was a very original car. The bad news was: it was a very original car.
Now we'll see how the judging goes.
Best to all.
Tony
