Do not know the make up of Ekler's gel coat. There is 3 basic formulas used - NPG/ISO resins, PG/ISO resins and NPG/Ortho resins. The first is used for making boats and is very chemical resistant but can have cracking problems. The second is more flexible but a little less chemical resistant. 3rd has chemical resistance, but not as good as first and has a cracking probem as well. The 2nd one would be the best to use and is made in sandable versions that are used by truck cap manufacturers. If you can find a location that does repairs on those items, they may be able to sell you a few gallons.

Do all of those listed use the PVA spray on curing agent. The Ecklers uses MEKP for activation.

PVA is poly vinyl acetate which is sprayed over the gel coat to keep air away from the surface to help it cure tack free. You can do the same think with wax paper over it or by adding a wax additive that will come to the surface and keep the air away. All gel coats use MEKP (Methyl Ethyl Ketone Pereoxide) for a catalyst. The PVA is reduced or cleaned up with water and is sprayed over the gel coat after it has been applied.
