'64 Grill Brace Rod "L" Bracket Removal

I need to remove the "L" bracket, located between the radiator support and the front grill, to replace with either a new one or drill out the sheared off bolt that is lodged into the welded nut.Bubba installed a bolt instead of a philips screw from the bottom valance that screws into the "L" bracket.
Would this removal effect the headlight motors in any way.
It is attached to the headlight motor top bracket?

Greg -- although these rods do add support to the headlight motor "header", removing the bolt that passes from the rear to the front of the rad support then through the "L" bracket you describe, then into the square nut tack-welded to the base of the support rod, should not affect the headlight motors in any way (as long as you replace before driving).

Depending on the length of the RH bolt, however, you might find it a tight fit between the bottom rad hose outlet manifold. As long as you pull the RH support bracket forward as you undo the bolt, you can get it off the welded nut of the rod, then slip the "L" bracket off.
