What are the best places on a mid year Corvette to tie it down with the webbed ratchet type tie downs on an open car trailer without damaging anything on the car?

I tie my midyear down with loop web straps arond the lower front A arm, avoiding getting the grease zerk under the webbing.
In the rear I use the triangular cutouts in the frame just ahead of the rear wheels. I use a strap with the hook on it. To protect the frame finish I have placed rubber hose over the hook. I also cross the straps in the rear
This lets the car suspension flex over bumps
All 4 ratchet straps are secured to the trailer floor rings about 3-4 ft from the tiedown points -

jusy trailered a 72 lt1 conv from boise idaho to so cal -1123mi- tied down through the wheels---if they are moving there are problems---tried suspension---on several cars---excess of 1000 mi---have had issues---when you lock down the wheels the car they can move with ease and take load off of the trailer---big sponge effect on the trailer load---think about it---the tie downs are tied to the trailer through the wheels (little to no movement) you need not worry about the straps getting exorcised---cut what ever---trying to hold the car down---i loaded the 72 drov 1123 mile trip and NEVER re-adjusted the strapsComment
