Is there a significant difference in original GM side exhaust covers and the current offering of reproduction items? Thanks, Rex

Not very significant but yes; On the early 65 the originals have the holes; for the upper thin molding; spaced differently from each end and the new ones are equally spaced from each end. these would be the first and last holes on the upper trim peice. I also noticed that the quality of the (then new)GM parts in about 78 was poor and the front curved area of the cover had large wrinkles on the lower part. I also noticed that the insulator was installed poorly and was a fifferent color than the originals. I have not seen any of the new repro.s to compare up close. David
