correct temp sender for 1970

Can anyone tell me what the correct style temp sender unit is for my '70 350/L46?

The one on it now has a round single post plug. Here is a pic of the connector for it from the harnass. It appears to be original, but I'm not certain. All of the vette suppliers show a different style for '70. Any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks - Mark

All 1970's used a "pin" connector temp sender with exactly the terminal connector that you have pictured. The "button" terminal style sender was used for many pre-68 Corvettes and for 1972 and later. However, the "pin" style was used for 1956 and 1968-71.

Thanks Joe, I knew you'd come through! Do you happen to know if the dealer still carries this, or a specific vendor? I haven't seen this type pictured in any of my catalogs. Thanks for the info! Mark

Lectric limited has the plastic connector,http://lectriclimited.com, and now sells a repair piece with the correct green wire and connector as a set. Splice it in, slip the black loom down over the splice, and no one knows its been repaired.
