trying to finish up my 67 coupe . does anybody know the casting # on the j-56 front brakes ?? the std rear brakes with j-56 option ? and idler arm with power steering ???? thanks for the help joe

J-56 cars used the same caliper castings as the standard cars - they were just machined differently. The steering idler arm was the same for both manual and power steering - forging #3779185. -

It depends whether the car is very early or later. Both the 1st design and 2nd design calipers were used for 1967.
early 1967----
front caliper halves: casting #5465952 and 5465954
rear caliper halves: casting #5465902 and 5465905
later 1967
front caliper halves: casting #5452273 and 5452270
rear caliper halves: casting #5452284 and 5452281
The idler arm forging number is as John reported. However, bear in mind that this number is forged on the ARM section of the idler arm assembly. The same forging was used for TWO different finished idler arm assemblies. One was used for ALL 1963-81 Corvettes. The other was used for some 1963 Chevrolet trucks. The difference is in the bracket component of the assembly. The Corvette assembly has ONE OFFSET in the bracket; the truck assembly has TWO OFFSETS in the bracket.In Appreciation of John HinckleyComment
