Power Antena

Hello everyone,

I have a 1978 with a broken antena mast. I can hear the antena motor running when the radio is turned off and on.

Does anyone know if there is a replacemnt kit available?
Is it a better idea to replace the entire unit?

There's a mast kit available for 79-82 power antennas (without CB). I thought that 78 was the same as 79-82. In any event, the 79-82 mast kit is GM #22038195 and it's still available from GM for about 40 bucks, GM list.

The kit Joe is talking about is simple to do I just did an 81. I got it from Corvette Central. You have to remove the power ant. from the car and disassemble it.
