    C1 '54 wheel covers

    I'm trying to get my 54 wheel covers restored. They need painting and some light curb rash repair.

    I discussed the resto with a guy that claimed that the covers need to be "flash chromed" after the curb rash is polished out.

    Now, it was always my understanding that these wheel covers were 100% polished stainless steel. Is this guy feeding me a line? Can anyone refer me to a reputable wheel cover restorer?

      I think you'll find the guy correct about the flash chrome! I know 56-62 are for sure.
