    I purchased a headliner for my 65 coupe a couple of years ago from Al Knoch. The headliner I recieved was a rigid plastic piece with an embossed finish. There is no foam and while it has the appearance of the original, it does not look exactly the same nor feel the same as was described in one of the earlier responses.

    That being said, it was a fairly simple install. Just remove the trim and mirror and put the new one in place. I left the old headliner in place as insulation and had no problem with fit.

    Steve,,,, You are correct. Unbelieveably, I didnt notice we were talking about a 65. There would be no foam with a 65 headliner.......Bill S
