The fuel pump on my 1982 is not delivering fuel to the engine. The car was stored over the winter. I completed all of the storage and start-up procedures (change fluids, squirting oil in cylinders, rotated engine, spun oil pump, etc.). I replaced inline fuel filter and checked for blockages from there back to the engine. Before I work back to the fuel tank and pump is there an inline fuse going to the fuel pump and if so where is it located? Any ideas that I'm not looking into? Thanks for your assistance.

I don't think that an inline fuse is used for the fuel pump, but I'm not 100% sure of that. However, it's really irrelevent. Simply remove the wiring connector near the top of the fuel tank which supplies current to the fuel pump. With the ignition switch in the "on" position, check to see if voltage is present at this point. If it is, then you know that there is no fuse problem OR any other wiring problem "upstream" of the fuel pump. Then, you pretty much know that you need to replace the fuel pump.
If there is no voltage observed, then you know that it's a problem "upstream" of the fuel pump, be it a fuse or something else.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
