    C2:67 40433 Fuel Pump finished

Thought I'd repost my 67 fuel pump after I redid the plating and dichromate on the base. Last weeks results came out a little dark and spotty after three dichromate dips. So I replated the base, this time a little slower and with less voltage. Came out a little better.

Ever see what the insides of one of these crimped style fuel pumps look like:

The donor top is on the left and the rest is the innards and base of my original. The base actually had pinholes in it and they cutout the inlet fitting and welded it onto the donor base.

    Now, if it works?

Gosh Jerry after all that work and it's soooooooo pretty (never thought I'd say a fuel pump was "pretty"), you're not going to put it on the car, are you??????????? Even the General might think it's over restored. Pete
