Does anyone know of any sites to decipher the stampings on chevy engines? I recently acquired a 71 Convertible and there is no VIN on the stamping pad, just the following; V0419TJU. Just curious what this motor is out of or if it's just a chevy replacement block.

Only TJU reference I can pull from '84 Hollander manual is 73-74 Truck applications. All engines with "T" as the first letter of the three character engine ID suffix are truck applications, "C" indicates car Application is 4-bbl (Q-JET) rated 155-160hp depending on application, truck or van
