    Diamondback Classics/Redline Radials

    Hello All,

I am looking for the phone number of Diamonback Classics, the company that makes several types of white/red/blue, etc.-wall tires. I am interested in redline radials for my '71 to go with some custom wire rims that I have, but unfortunately Diamondback's Website (widewhitewalltires.com) is not functioning.

If you have the number, I would appreciate it. And, if anyone has ideas other than this company or Coker tire for a 215/70R15 radial, I would be happy to hear them.

    Patrick -

Try 1-888-922-1642. As information, Coker does not make a radial redline in a 70 series profile, only in 75 series. I'm interested in a 65 or 70 series redline myself. Please post the results of your search.

Kelsey Tire is the exclusive distributor for Goodyear reproduction tires. I've listed what I recall is the URL.

Be advised that Diamondback redlines are not molded into the tire when the tire is made. They are added on after the fact. This may work out for you, or it may crack or peel.

I too wish Coker made 70 series redlines.

          Re: Diamondback Classics update

          All,

I called Diamondback today, and this is what they have:

The tires are the ALTE (?) by Dayton, as well as the Daytona, in the 215/70R15 size. The ALTE at $119 is 6.11 inch wide tread width, 26.93 inches tall. The Daytona is 6.86 inches tread width, and 26.91 inches tall at $129 each.

Personally, I ordered the Daytona tire. I, too, wish that others offered a Redline radial in 215/70R15, but none exist to the best of my knowledge. In addition, I am not interested in reproduction redlines, as 1) they weren't offered in 71, and 2) I would get the Wide Ovals which are correct for my car.

IMHO, the redline radials on my "Tru Vette" spoke rims will look like a "period" custom combination. I also think the red will go well with my Bridgehampton (dark) blue paint.

          Thanks,

          Patrick
