1982 Corvette wheels/rims

I am considering a purchase of a 1982 two tone, Corvette. Is it true that the only rims available that year were either the alloy wheels, or the special rims on the collector's addition model. The Vette I'm looking at has the Chevy Corvette rally rims with the center cap. How can I tell whether these are off a prior year Vette, or if they are knock offs. Thanks for your help.

The rally rims were still the standard rim on the 1982 models, though I think only about 1800 of the cars that year actually came with them.
