What type of oil?And how often should I lubricate the generator on my 61?

Ron,
The first thing you should do is pull the generator apart and put sealed bearings in it, and never worry about the lubrication again! Chances are, that it already has been replaced with them sometime in it's past, but you will never know until tou pull it apart. A new set sealed bearings are only a few buck at your l;ocal bearing house. Leave the oiler cups in place for judging purposes, but you will never have to worry about them again.

Thanks I will check receipts to see if this has been done.Is there a visual way to check without tearing it apart I am not the handiest guy around!

Unfortunately, there is no way to see them with the generator assembled.

Typically, if you try to oil them they won't take the oil. It will just stand there in the cup. Terry
