63 carpet cutout under seat befor #13,500

I'm going to the well for some help and a picture of this "trimmed in grained vinyl" in the "tool box" depressions of early floor pans, per the current judging guide. The AIM in the carpet installing section does not show any vinyl being installed unless i am missing that page!! A picture of the cut-out of the carpet and is it glued to the "tool box" depression would be of great help to me. Along with this vinyl application on four edges as seen behind the seat when in the forward position.

I can't offer anything solid on this as my car is a very late 63. Do you suppose this is talking about edge binding of the carpet in the tool well cutout?

If so, I don't think I've seen this treatment under the seats on the early cars. Maybe someone else can shines some light on the issue.

I recieved this pic from Harry Sadlock. This carpet isn't original to his car but was purchased some time back. It came in a GM box from the 70's.

funny you should show this picture, cause i went to look at a car very close to my build date today and guess what i saw??? this exact same style but i dismissed it because of the heal pad insert. it was very poorly cut and not like the description in the JG. so i know i don't know for sure what i'm looking at -- factory style/after market supplier style. but most of all, thanks for your help and time to post a response.
