    After a fair amount of reseach and a lot of help from fellow posters (JoeL, Duke, Clem, et.el.) I have pieced together the following estimates for my street rebuild. The objective is a durable 1965 low-rev 300hp street motor. Please feel free to comment....

    Any labor/machining estimate is dependant on local costs and vary greatly from one location to another.

    Parts cost depend on vendor and brand name.

    My estimate to do a 327 would probably be a lot different, example:
    local cost to vat, bore and hone is about $200.

    turn crank $150

    balance $100

    These are costs at a high quality machine shop.
