'64 Expansion Tank Cap

Which is the correct version of the 307 #13 expansion cap.With a circle encompassing these numbers or without the circle?
The numbers are located at the nine o'clock position as you read it from left to right.

Look at spring '79 Restorer - Circle caps were used 8/63 to 3/66

Greg - I don't think any of the original 307 radiator cap had a circle emcompassing the numbers. Don't have one with me but hopefully someone will provide info on the configuration of the lettering on the cap. Pete

LIC sells a repro without a circle.
Dewitt sells one that he fabricates with a circle.

Who is correct?

Pircle believes it should be without the circle.

FYI, DeWitts does not manufacture reproduction radiator caps. He may sell them, but does not make them.

For various reasons I would think the LICS one is a more correct configuration.

My Mar 64 FI cap has NO circle!

Greg - Check out the picture of an original 307 radiator cap on Ebay Item 4635644307. The only variation in the caps I am aware of is that the AC stamping came in a larger and smaller AC. Not aware of original 307s having the AC in a circle. From what I have seen the AC logo in the circle did not come in to use until the 1966 RC15 radiator caps. Pete

I'm talking about no circle around the 307/15# markings.
Just wanted to be clear in case that's not the circle you are looking at/for.

NOT about the AC logo. Check the TIM/JG to see what's called for and follow that.
