    396 / 425 hp. Fr. Susp.

    I find the front suspension in the 65 big block has what appears to be a factory made spacer ( I just want to know if the factory was G.M.) It is the diameter of the spring and apporximately one inch thick hard rubber, is this stock in this very correct car ?

      Jerry, the first check I'd do is a hard look at the Assembly manual. any added pieces for the 396 should show up there. Gm is the kind of outfit that had a different part number front spring for the smallblocks with A/C to cover the extra 50 or so lbs added by the A/c equipment, so it wouldn't be like them to use a spacer for a '396
