68 Corvette Engine Tune Up Sticker Location

I am getting ready to apply all my new stickers and when I purchased my car in 72 from the original owner, the Tune Up sticker was mounted on the flat part of the firewall directly behind the power brake booster near the hood latch.
However, the Assembly Manual in UPC 0, page B1 states that this sticker should be mounted on the radiator.
Am I wrong or is the AIM wrong or am I reading the AIM incorrectly. It is item # 6 part #3927740 on page B1.

The tune up sticker started the year on the radiator and was moved to the firewall location some time during the model year. My April built car has it on the firewall.

Early (we have not determined the changeover point) had the labels on the core support. Later cars were located on the cowl like the later C-3"s

Thank you Gentlemen.
My car was built May 10, 1968 and was on the cowl above the power brake booster.
Glad to know I am not going more crazy than I already am.

For the record, my original owner 68 has the tune up sticker near the drivers side hood latch and it was built in Feb 1968.

Interesting, my Feb. 68 build has it on the cowl above the brake booster. I don't know if it originated there or not, but it was a one owner car before I got it and that's where it was?

Kurt, I've said it before and I'll say it again...........................using the existing AIMs as gospel is not a good idea. The AIMs that you all have are NOT complete as they do not reflect all of the revisions that occurred during the model year. ONLY the MASTER file copy that Engineering retained had EVERY sheet and had ALL the revisions. The plants had instructions to round file the sheet that was in their manual when a new one was issued. And they did as they didn't care what happened yesterday, just what they were to do today and tomorrow.

It's too bad that we don't have copies of the masters, but what we do have sure is better than nothing.......just use them as a guide.

My sticker is on the cowl just above the rubber bumper of the male portion of the hood latch. The hood latch on on the flat surface of the cowl and the sticker on the angled portion. Just below the sticker is the number 72 written on red. Have no idea why the number is there. Does anyone know?
