    63 Project question

I just bought a '63 conv project today. It was a good deal, but needs a lot of work. My thoughts witht for the car was to build it however I wanted to as it was missing the engine among other things. It has factory A/C. What I have found out is that (according to Nolan Adams book) there were only 50 A/C conv. in 1963. And one of the original parts I got with the car is the inner and outer A/C boxes. From what I uderstand a '63 only box. I was going to put a new motor in it and vintage A/C. My question is should I go ahead and build this car, or sell it to someone that wants to put it back original? Or is this rare option not that big of deal for a 63 conv? I really am not looking to build another original car right now as I have 4 other midyears that are original cars in process of restoration. I feel like this inner and outer box is worth a pretty penny, but if I sell it and keep the car, I don't think you could ever find those boxes again. I feal like if this is a rare car it should go back original. And if so I probably should sell it or trade it for another midyear conv. that I can build as I please. Any advice or thoughts?

    Thanks

    Jeremy-----

An original C-60 1963 Corvette is rare, coupe or convertible. The convertible might be a little "rarer" than a C-60 coupe, but they're both very rare. I'd say that a car like this deserves an original restoration, whether you do it or someone else does it. Keep in mind, though, that if you decide the same way, there's no way that you can ensure that this happens if you sell it.

      Hi Jeremy,
I think that this car should be saved and givin the chance to be restored to original as it is indeed rare.
      Good luck!

I agree what's the VIN? Just curious how far into the model your car appeared. If I was to choose I'd think a 63 like yours is more desirable than my 67 base and a car that deserves to be restored.

The car is #18435. PB, PS, 4-speed with air. Thanks for the input guys. I think I will put it up for sale and look for another project.
