C2 fuel pump push rod

I thought I was ready fire my engine up a couple of nights ago. Well, as I went to put the fuel pump on I discovered that there wasn't a fuel pump push rod. The local parts store has one and claims they are the same for small block and big block. What say the holders of knowledge? thank you Bill

I don't know very much Bill but the original GM part book calls for a 3704817 for both small and big blocks. Hope it runs tonight. Good luck with the project.
