    1955 gas tank restoration

Has anyone had good experiences with POR 15 gast tank renew kits? My tank is solid, just has varnish inside and a bit of surface rust outside. I'd like to do this myself, anybody worked with this before?

    Thanks,

    Mike

      1. Now you've got a gallon of dirty acetone. How are you going to dispose of that?

      2. Did you treat the interior of the tank? If not, how will you keep it from rusting?

        Too easy...

        1. Put it in an old bucket outside for an hour. It'll be gone.
        2. No need, the inside of the tank is galvanized, he only needed to remove built-up crud, which is now in the bottom of the bucket.
