Had the 64 fuelie out today for a nice 150 mile cruise, but had some problems with the Muncie 4 spd close ratio trans going into first gear, especially after the engine / trans warmed up to operating temp. It will not go into first gear after braking to a complete stop at a traffic light, and yes the clutch is fully released. It does seem to help to go back to 4th gear and then to first while sitting at the light, but this is somewhat frustrating, especially since the trans was just rebuilt not too long ago by a reputable 4 spd trans guy that we all know (all new synchros and brass). I would really like to figure out what is going on with this trans. Could it be something inside the trans or most likely in the linkage? I checked the linkage after my last outing and everything looked OK, seemed to line up ok. As always, your help is appreciated. Thanks, Rex NCRS #8089
