C1 T-10 Date Codes

I have been examining the transmission codes on my new (to me) 1959 and am having trouble reconciling the results.

The tail housing is a T10-7A, a 1958 according to the judging guide. The code is M -2 19 59. I can't find a crib sheet for these codes, but the final "9" would seem to indicate a 1959 cast date. Where am I going wrong?

The main case is a T10-1, with a WF 19-2 stamping. I can't find "F" used as a month for these transmissions in my NCRS pocket spec guide. I must be going wrong again somehow. The main case also has a 11-26 code and a lightly stamped Q1.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Dave, as best I can recall on main case assembly date coding; 2nd character of F = June, 3rd & 4th number 19 = day of month or 3rd number of 1 = day of month, 4th number of 9 = year 1959 and 2 = 2nd shift. Months were alpha A through M with I not used. If the 11-26 main case numbers are cast numbers, then it is the date the main case was cast. Sorry, do not recall any for the tailshaft. You might check the archives and believe early Restorer magazines had an article on how to decode the assembly dates. Gary....

The Main Case T10-1: WF 192 I believe thats a build date of June 1, 1959, Second Shift.
