    GF-124 Fuel Filter Element

    I've got a used GF-124 fuel filter element. How can I tell if it's any good? Looks perfect. How does it filter gas? What's it made from? Looks to be a reddish stone. Can they be cleaned and used? I've also got a paper one. Did the paper replace the stone?

      Put it in a housing, if you can blow thru it, it's generally good. The paper was a service replacement for the GF-124.
