65 Removing or Stripping Clear Anodizing

Does anyone know what chemicals are used to remove clear anodizing? Is there a particular process? I would like to clean up my grille. Rich

Not completely sure, but I think the 65 grill is pot metal rather than anodized aluminum. (63/4 grills are aluminum)

If I'm wrong on this, somebody shoot me.
