Nuts and bolts and Top Flight

I just bought a 1957 Fuelie that has a 1998 Top Flight certificate. I had it looked at by someone from the 1956-1957 judging team in Maryland who told me if I wanted to get in judged again and get a higher score I need to replace a lot of the hardware underneath. A lot of it has the grade 8 markings on the heads of the bolts (which isn't a bad thing to know if you happen to be driving it a lot).

My question is, I have the judging manuals, restoring guides, etc., but I don't see anything on identifying correct hardware. I see some bolt heads with letters on them like C and TL. Is there a source available to help me identify the correct hardware so I can take this car to the next level?

get the book chassis restoration guide by Joseph A Tripoli, Jr. also Paragon parts should have the bolts that you are looking for and need to replace.

Do you happen to know whether Mr. Tripoli's chassis restoration guide also covers bolts that should be used on a '55 Corvette. Thank you,

yes it covers the years 1953 through 1972.
