C-1 Highest known score NCRS Score regnl +?

Hello all, Can anyone tell me what the highest score is in NCRS judging for years 53-62? Had somone tell me that their car achieved the record with a 99.6, and I am thinking there is probably a higher score out there somewhere, looking for scores at regional levl or better.
    Thanks in advance...

Because of the milage driven credit, there are lots of cars whose scores roll up over 100%. Due to carrying only one decimal place and NOT rounding up, 99.9% is seen. I don't think there's a car that's ever scored a perfect 100.0% though; that would imply absolutely NO deductions in the entire judging process OR a car with milage driven credit that just happened to roll up to 100.0XXX% before the final tab line...

Lets not forget the points assigned to fire extinguisher, battery cut off & NCRS sticker.

I can remember a car by Jerry and Shirley Goldsmith (67 tripower, red and white) in the early 90s that did this well. I'd wonder what the score was, but I recall talking with Jerry about it in the early/mid 90s.

              WHY?

Are we getting a new category? My Top Flight is better than your Top Flight?

                Excellent point!

This is probably the most often violated rule in NCRS-dom...sharing of Flight score information. Let me draw attention to the NCRS Judging Reference Manual, Section 5, Rule 20:

                "Awards Not Allowed

There shall be no award indicating 'Best of Show', 'Judges Choice', 'High Point Car,' or any other comparison or ranking of cars in direct oder of scores achieved. The compilation of numberical scroes are for NCRS records and used only and are never to be announced, published or shared."

The point is we compete against our rules/standards and not against each other. A Top Flight is a Top Flight regardless of whether it's a 94.0% roll up or a 99.9% roll up. The only legitimate use of a car's actual numeric score is for the prerequisite determination of it having met the requirements for the Mark Of Excellence award.

That's what I said two days ago

I guess I was too subtle. Thanks for driving the point home.

                    Re: WHY?

Call me curious. I just think it would be interesting to know, even anonymously, what the highest score ever achieved at a Regional and National would be. Has there ever been a "perfect" car? If not how close? And when? A 99.9 at a meet in 1985 may differ a lot from a 99.9 achieved in 2006.

I doubt it would be good to actually be able to identify the car. I'm sure we can all magine that eBay ad already.
