There is a 1959 white Corvette with 2 holes in the bottom of the spare tire well and 2 holes in the bottom of the rear bumpers. In 1960 I picked up a Chevy at Z Frank Chevrolet in Chicago. It was a used 1959 Corvette. I had a bumper hitch to tow a boat back to Albuq,. N.M. The bumper hitch would not work, so a machine shop built a hitch using those points. I wonder where it is today. it had the two holes in the tire well parallel to the center of the car. D/

Dale..Do you have a picture of the Z Frank 59 and boat? I grew up in Chicago and my dad bought a new 59 Impala at a dealership either on Chicago Avenue or Lake street.

Joe, I do not. We went up there several times and brought back cars and boats. We usually used bumper hitches but that time we only used one. Dale

I pull my 1947 tear drop trailer, I designed a three sided steel bar 2 feet long that fits over the rear cross member using only two bolts holding it on. Also the bar that is bent to clear the body area. Had it on for many years and works great.
