That was the first year V.N wall opened , wife and I drove back to DC from Ca. I was a vet driving our 55 Vett. Camped at KO's all the way in our 1947 Tear drop. Vett ran like a dream got 15mpg. Saw a Corvette show in mid-NY at a little town camp ground and they said we cant enter , it was only for Corvette! Ha!
Later while back East meeting other Corvette people the first thing they asked was how did we get the vett back there, (what) ??? just a few things people said to use.
