C2 Air Cleaner Lid

The air cleaner cover(snorkle style base) on my 65 small block is original. The chrome is pitted, but the silk screen printing on the underside is in great shape. I know that if I have the lid re-chromed I will loose the original silk screen. Is there anyone who restores these lids to original condition and what is the approximate cost?

I had Paragon restore my air cleaner lid. They do outsource the chrome plating and silk screening. I sent it out last September and just got it back a couple of weeks ago. So be prepared to wait a good long time for it. The work was very nice though. The chrome is probably a little too nice for originality, but it sure is purdy! I can't remember how much they charged, but I think it was either $125 or $175.
