Could some one tell me If I am soposed to have the crome (hockey sticks) or what ever they are called on both sides of my motor.

I thought Crome hockey sticks were seat parts.

In the common usage of non-standard words used to describe Corvette parts, I have always assumed that "hockey sticks" were the chrome pieces on the sides of C2 Corvette seat backs and "boomerangs" were the gizmos that the spark plug wires run through on the block. I believe these are the pieces that you are talking about.

The vertical shields at the rear (distributor shield to rear spark plug shields) could be described as hockey sticks, but that is not a description I see commonly used.
