Who does everyone recommend as a source for 1954 parts. I need quite a few pieces and don't want to end up like the guy who sent his seatbelts to New Mexico.

The two places that I use are Grossmueller's and Mary Jo Rohner. Both have a wide variety of stuff and are prompt. They also seem to be just nice folks.

This may apply to many vendors, but be sure you have a clear understanding of the exact part and condition before you buy from Mary Jo. I have had some difficulties with her used parts condition. Ask a lot of specific questions.

I highly recommend Grossmueller. Used him for 2 cars and no problems. Also best to speak to Werner or Carol.
