    C2 509 Master Cylinder Leak

I just installed my rebuilt "509" DC rebuilt master cylinder on my '67. Where the 2 brake lines screw in on the side (they connect to the proportioning valve) the one closest to the rear of the car (rear brakes) screwed all the way in with the nut shoulders seating against the case of the master cylinder. Appears my brakes are working OK but I have noticed a very minimal amouint of brake fluid seeping where this line goes into the master. On the old incorrect master when the lines where tightened they did not screw all the way in and their shoulders butt up against the casing but I could see a few threads remaining screwed out. Any suggestions?

    Jimmy,

had similar problem when restoring "LADY" - put a "new" bronze washer on and things tightened up - not sure if I ahve any washers lying around at home, but I do know who has some - let me know!

I used some teflon tape on the line and it worked very well. Just a thought!
