Tomorrow (Tuesday), down 99 to 58 at Bakersfield to Barstow. Gonna stay tomorrow night at the Barstow -Historic Route 66 Holiday Inn Express, then Wednesday to Flagstaff.

Cell number is 209-559-0855, give me a call if you are going to be on the road at the same time. This will be the longest trip this 67 has taken since 1969.

Made it to Barstow for overnight,

360 miles, 5.5 hours, got 18 miles per gallon. Ran like a baby, didn't hit 180 with the AC going. Not bad for a 39 year old car with it's original distributor on.

What a difference a coast makes..... on the east coast our AC right now is driving with the window down or cracked a bit.... those 60ish temps can keep the warm out of the cabin.
