Well I was able to locate the correct staring instruction decal for my 1973. It was on an Old 1972 Nova. Believe it or not it was pretty easy to get off the old sunvisor using a hair dryer - it just lifted off in a few minutes. Any suggestions on an adhesive to use to put it on my car?

Re: Starting Instruction Decal
I wonder how many cars originally had one of these on them. Please don't quote the judging manual either. I have had 2 low mile original 73's and have looked at dozens of others and have yet to see one of these present on a convertible or a coupe. Good find though.- Top

Re: Starting Instruction Decal
Hey Cameron, if you want to stick the decal on, or you want to take it off, if for whatever reason :
- GE All Purpose Silicone 1 (clear 100% silicone rubber)
- GE All Purpose silicone 11 (clear 100% silicone)
Both work well to glue all types of decals, and if you need to remove them, the silicone comes off the surfaces by rubbing it.
Won't damage your sunvisors or your decals.
The STARTING PROCEEDURE decal doesn't stay on the sunvisor from the factory because the sunvisor is comfort weive vinyl, and decal adhesive is not good enough. If you use the silicone (just use a light scraping on the entire suface) and it will hold, no problem.
Hope this will help you out. Ken.- Top

Re: Starting Instruction Decal
The decal was on lots of 73's I have owned and the glue was their if the decal was gone. I found the decal under the lid on the center rear compartment of a 73 I bought from an original owner and he said he moved it their off the visor. On a convertible they look ugly with the top down.
