    67 Air Cleaner Base Color?

Couldn't find a definitive answer in the Archives. Hoping someone can clarify. Can anyone comment on their experience in having the color of the air cleaner base (427-390) judged? I believe it is supposed to be gloss - but I have never seen one that way on numerous apparently correctly restored cars I have seen - every one I have seen has looked more semi-gloss.

    Glenn-----

Most gloss black finishes lose some of their glossiness with time and heat exposure and many of these original air cleaners have had plenty of time to have this occur. To begin with, they were gloss black, though. One caveat, however: while they were gloss black, they were not HIGH GLOSS black.
