engine oil dip stick holder

Can anyone tell me the best method to use to install a new ENGINE DIP STICK HOLDER into a 283 CI block????

I'm thinking about putting some HEAT to it...........

puttin it in the freezer will probably be better than heating it. there is a tool, that has about 270 degrees of a neck(much like the end of a line wrench or like a crows foot socket) on it and a shaft a part of the neck. slide the neck over the tube and lightly tap it into the engine case. you could make the tool. handle about 8" long and the id of the neck just a tad larger than the od of the tube . a piece of 8" rebar with a half dozen flat washers welded to the rebar, then remove about 90 degrees of the welded flat washers. mike
