1970 windshield washer pump

On my car is now a 5 port washer pump. I understand these are not manufactured anymore, therefor i ordered a 3 port replacement. However the pin from the wiper motor doesnt engage the drivewheel for the washer pump.
I have included a picture as well. The left pump is on my car, the right one is the replacement. Is there a way to solve this problem?

If the replacement pump is 'correct' the drive pin should engage with the wiper motor when the pump is 'clocked' properly. You can turn the pump by hand to change its current 'rest' position...

I'd have the 5 port rebuilt and to heck with the replacement. There is a person who restores those 5-port pumps. His eBay user name is dt32degree I believe.
