C1 Air Scoop and Cove Painting?

    Hi all,

I have painted the body of my 1960 (red with white cove) and have a few questions about the cove and air scoop painting:

    1) I am assuming that there was some sort of mask used on the air scoops, but, if so, how far back did it go? All the way to the back flat portion or farther away from it?

    2) Where did the white of the cove end around the edge of the wheel well?

    3) What about the crack between the door and body? Did the paint just get sprayed over the crack leaving overspray in the jamb or was there some sort of masking from the inside?

    Thanks,

    Bob...

    1) I sprayed completely into the air scoop...The backplates are painted

    semi-gloss Black.

    2) The white ends at the point the chrome fender moulding crosses the

    wheel opening

    3) I sprayed with the doors off...

    Hope this helps...
